This Cookie Policy explains how Qrdery LTD, a company registered under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus with registration number HE 491017, having its registered office at Pindou 4, Egkomi Lefkosias 2409, Cyprus ("Qrdery", "we", "us", or "our"), uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our public marketing website (qrdery.io), our merchant administrative dashboards, self-service kiosk web interfaces, and customer-facing digital menu/ordering application screens (collectively, the "Platform").
This policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we handle your broader personal data and how you can enforce your statutory rights under the GDPR.
1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies allow a platform to remember specific user variables, manage secure system sessions, optimize interface loading times, and track user preferences across pages or repetitive digital sessions.
2. Classification of Cookies: First-Party vs. Third-Party
First-Party Cookies
These are deployed and controlled directly by Qrdery natively from our domains. They are primarily engineered to handle baseline operations, such as authenticating restaurant managers or storing localized layout properties.
Third-Party Cookies
These are placed by external operational services or APIs integrated into our architecture. Please note: Qrdery currently enforces a strict data perimeter and does not deploy third-party advertising, remarketing, or behavioral tracking cookies anywhere on our Platform.
3. The Cookies We Use
To ensure complete transparency under European privacy laws (GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive), our cookies are categorized by their explicit functional purpose. Because our Platform relies strictly on operational utility, we only deploy Essential (Strictly Necessary) Cookies.
3.1 Strictly Necessary / Essential Cookies
These cookies are mandatory for the secure, functional, and technically sound operation of our cloud software footprint. The Platform cannot execute core workflows (such as keeping a restaurant manager logged into their control panel or processing a live table order) without them. Under applicable EU law, essential cookies do not require prior user consent because they exist solely to deliver the explicit digital service requested by the user.
- sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token — First-Party (Supabase / Qrdery): Stores secure encrypted JSON Web Tokens (JWT) to authenticate dashboard managers, maintain active login sessions, and isolate secure database API requests. Duration: Session / Persistent.
- NEXT_LOCALE — First-Party (Next-Intl / Qrdery): Detects and remembers the user's explicit language preference (e.g., English, German, Greek, or Serbian) so the interface renders correctly automatically. Duration: 1 Year.
- qrdery-cookie-consent — First-Party (Qrdery Banner): Records the explicit selection made by a user on our cookie banner (Acceptance or Denial) to prevent the popup from rendering on subsequent pages. Duration: 1 Year.
4. Local Storage and Transient State Mechanisms
In addition to standard HTTP text cookies, our modern single-page web applications utilize the browser's native Local Storage and Session Storage layers. These mechanisms perform the exact same security and functional roles as cookies but are handled programmatically to keep the user interface lightning-fast:
- Authentication State Management: Local storage caches temporary authorization variables managed by our database engine (Supabase) to verify corporate user scopes.
- Dynamic Table & Session Anchors: Caches temporary parameters such as active table numbers, room zone identifiers, or open cart items within digital ordering windows so data is not lost if a guest accidentally refreshes their mobile browser mid-order. This data is transient and carries zero marketing tracking vectors.
5. Controlling and Managing Your Cookie Profile
While essential cookies cannot be toggled off via our on-screen privacy banners because the software would break operationally, you possess absolute control over how your device handles cookies through your native browser software settings.
Most modern browsers allow you to:
- Review all cookies currently saved on your hardware and delete them individually or globally;
- Block all third-party tracking attempts automatically;
- Instruct the browser to wipe all stored cookies and local cache storage components immediately upon closing the window or application.
